2024 Stewardship Campaign: Growing in Generosity - Rooted in Faith
Blessed are those whose trust is in the Lord. They shall be like a tree planted by water, sending out its roots by the stream. It shall not fear when heat comes, and its leaves shall stay green; in the year of drought, it is not anxious, and it does not cease to bear fruit. ~ Jeremiah 17: 7-8

Dear Ones,
This year’s stewardship theme: Growing in Generosity – Rooted in Faith is based on Jeremiah 17:7-8. The ancient Hebrew believed a life grounded in faith would thrive and endure even during difficult times. People who trust in God find an inner strength to sustain their lives under the most challenging of circumstances because they are connected to the source of life. They have flexibility, an inner joy, and a sense of well-being. This sense of well-being grows out of a trust and connectedness with God. The image of a tree with strong roots affirms that one’s generosity grows out of a faith that trusts in God and a life that is connected to God. Our church family is made resilient though the faith and generosity of our members. We are grateful for the deep and elaborate root system within this faith community that has grown strong through the years. The faith in which we are rooted is evident in all the ways Westminster branches out in ministries beyond our doors. We value the connectedness among us as we stand tall in our community to proclaim the love of Christ in which we are rooted and established. |
Growing in Generosity – Rooted in Faith grounds us as a community which enters the baptismal covenant, nourishing our children in a faith that will sustain them wherever life leads.
Growing in Generosity – Rooted in Faith firmly plants us to journey with our youth as they come into their own and to encourage them to serve the One in whom we trust.
Growing in Generosity – Rooted in Faith connects us to giving in tangible ways, both in service and with a financial commitment to this faith community, so that we may continue to make a difference in our homes, neighborhood, community, and beyond.
As I near the completion of my tenth year as your pastor, my heart overflows with joy and gratitude for the privilege of leading this generous and faithful congregation. Thank you for being rooted in faith and growing in generosity. I join the Stewardship Committee in inviting you to give out of the generosity you have received from the One in whom we trust, and to give because you can!

Why are Pledges Important?Pledges are essential to Westminster’s planning process. Each year committees submit their goals and the estimated cost to achieve them. Once members’ 2024 pledges are received, the 2024 budget is finalized.
How Many Households Give?
For 2023, we received 224 pledges for a total of $826,000. Currently, there are 348 member and prospective households contributing financially to support Westminster’s operating budget. The table below shows how many of those households contribute at each of the respective levels.
The 348 member and prospect households that currently provide the financial support are 47% of the 739 total households.
